This airy confection appeared at some of Louisville's finest Derby parties in 2021. (Believe me, no one throws a Derby party like Louisvillians!) It's made from sinamay with hand-rolled cream sinamay trim and an antique piece of bling to set the whole thing off! Instead of sharp lines, the client desired a more ethereal look with softer shapes and gentle curves. Like all of the items in our Whimsy Collection, Grace was entirely hand-blocked and hand-sewn. Each client who purchases an item from the Whimsy collection receives an extensive design consultation and as they say in New Orleans, a lagniappe, or a little something extra. 

Our Grace brim block is over 120 years old. In the 1990s, a hat made from this block appeared on a Christmas episode of the TV sit-com Will and Grace. The milliner who created it for the show retired in 2020, and I was fortunate to acquire this block as well as many other millinery treasures from her. I am so pleased Grace caught your eye, and I'd love to create your own piece of millinery history with her!
